Other than the usual online marketing approaches, have you marketing your copywriting services offline?
The people I know who work for businesses offline have often not even bothered with much marketing. They often have found a few clients that keep them busy. I, on the other hand, have found a couple who don't keep me as busy as I sometimes wish I were.
Has anyone else who does freelance projects taken any particular steps in terms of marketing their services locally?
I do everything online nowdays, but a few years back I did two targeted marketing campaigns. I targeted large automobile dealerships, as well as successful real estate agents. I had done professional copywriting in both of these industries, so I had testimonials from satisfied clients. My mailer was a trifold flier (one page/colored paper) with an explanation of my services and contact info., as well as industry specific testimonials. I got business from this campaign for months after the mailing, and it was very affordable.
