I know most people are just copy writing to make extra cash online, but who is doing it as their main income? I am a content writer so I guess that makes me a copywriter too. This is my main source of income, what about you?

Hi to all,

This is my main (and only) income. I copywrite, content write and write features for many print magazines that Ive built relationships with over the past ten years. I also dabble in writing short stories for magazines and have even done a bit of erotica!

Quite simply - if someone pays - I will write it!

Yes, writing is my main source of income. I do a lot of different types of writing, so there is a nice variety in my work day and many streams of income should one dry up. Overall, I've been happy with the level of income that I've earned in my time as a freelancer.

For the time being this is my main income but my real 'job' is finishing my degree at university so I can get away for now without making full-time level earnings.

I would love to be able to copywrite as an addition to other forms of writing however. I really enjoy what I know of this work and it is a good way to get practice and buff up a resume in regard to technical writing.

yes and no,

What I do now is no different to what I did a year ago, except then it was a proper job, with a real nice wage.

Now I'm a little more than half way up to my previous wages, so its managable.

For a little while i was eating my savings but the last few weeks have been steadily getting more jobs and work, so I hope to be at the same wage I was working for before soon next year, and then its just up from there!
