Hi.

I just wanted to let you know that I've installed a new module on the
Copywriting.com forums that lets you start your own blog. Simply
login to your account and click on the "My Blog" tab under Forum Options.

Why have a blog here?

Two reasons:
1) Blogging is just cool and lets you earn a nice additional income.

and

2) SEO: This domain name (and site) are what Google considers an
"Authority Hub", so by having a blog here, you will benefit from a good
PageRank and link popularity - which will be growing higher in the next
few months.

But what if I already have a blog about copywriting?

I have also enabled a way for you to add your own blog (even those
hosted elsewhere) to your profile. Again, simply click the "My Blog"
link under "Forum Options" to configure this setting (Note that this link
is only visible when you are logged into your account).

All the best!

Hiya Miguel and All.

When I go to google and typed in "copywriting derby ks" or "seo copywriting derby ks"
(among other variations) I used to get my blog here and my website just under that -
www.buddycopywriting.com in the results, page one and top listings.

Now, I only get my site. I could have inadvertently turned off some switch but, of course,
I would not do that on purpose. I do want the blog to show up too.

Can you help me with this? I am lost when it comes to all those switches.

Thanks a bundle.

Hi.

Chances are we are accessing different google datacenters, but when I
search for "copywriting derby ks" I get your website and your blog here
at Copywriting.com as the top 1 and 2 spots.

Chances are you didn't switch anything off... it's just Google dancing
around with the results again.

All the best!

This is nice, but I was wondering if you have any particular type of blog in mind for this. In other words, do have something in mind as far as taking the "blog collection" (on this site) in a certain direction?

Well yes, I would like to suggest that all blogs are related to copywriting
or any of it's related topics (writing, editing, research, marketing, sales,
sales psychology, etc).

The blogs can have any hook you wish. You can start blogging about
your personal experiences in copywriting, review good books that you've
read on the subject, write informative articles, etc...

If you have experience in copywriting for a certain niche, that would be
a great addition too.

The most important thing is to have fun while blogging... let your blog
become your friend (and never let it become a task or a chore). biggrin.gif

It's a crafty addition, I must say, Miguel! The search engines will simply adore all the fresh content when you get the individuals who own a blog on Copywriting.com posting regularly. Good idea!

I have to second Wildhoney. This is an ingenius idea. Especially if you get a bunch of SEO copywriters on board. They are bound to hit the rankings quick! Many props for this idea!

Wow! I have to second the previous poster, a website of writers and copywriters with blogs. Watch out Google, that could be a dangerous thing!

Hey Miguel and All.

Now, this is none of my business, except maybe it is as I maintain a blog
here and am now linking to it from several places.

There are two blogs with 0 (zero) entries that have over 4,700 hits to them.
What happens when someone clicks on those blogs?
What shows up?
An empty blog?
Or a blank page?

How many times does an empty blog hit the front page of copywriting.com?
Obviously uh, quite a few times.
How does this look to the outside world?
How does this look to the casual surfer?
How does this impress anyone?

By sending people to my blog here I am, by that association, recommending
copywriting.com. I have also sent clients here to look for newbie copywriters
when they thought I was too expensive.

I have blogs in other places where I can post that don't have empty holes when
someone clicks on subject matter on the home page. Am also just wondering
if this concerns anyone else... ?

I do not want to sound harsh or upset. I am not upset, just wanting to clear
up my thoughts concerning this issue. Has anyone else noticed this? Maybe it is
irking me just a tad... lol.

Comments?

Hi Verb.

Send me a private message with the new title you want for your blog
and I'll try to change it as an admin.

Also, please send me the details of those blank blogs that are getting
so much traffic and I'll try to figure out why that's happening.

Lol! Verb -- how many replies do you want to make to one thread? Slow down, girl! As aforementioned though, it is a fabulous idea, and the search engines will lap up all the fresh content. Most certainly the way forward.

Hi everyone!

I have a quick question about having my blog on your listing. Will it affect my google adsense as I know they are funny about linking sites!

Thankyou laugh.gif

Hi Sarah.

No, the blog will not affect your adsense account at all. smile.gif

Hi Miguel!

I'm really glad that you have this website. I'm really having difficulty looking for
the "My Blog" tab. I wish to start blogging immediately.

Thanks.

Best Regards.
