If you assumed someone knows absolutely zero about SEO and SEO writing, do you have three or four simple tips that would get someone started in the right (or at least "SEO-functioning") direction?

(Oops! blink.gif The title of this post should not have that "o" in the word, "Nutshello" (as you've probably guessed). I just couldn't figure out how to quickly edit the title. Now - no matter how many times I've tried - the system keeps adding "o's" every time I try to write the word correctly. I'm not fussing with it any more. Please disregard all "o's" that don't belong whereever they show up. smile.gif)

A few tips off the top of my head:

1. Position keyphrase prominently in the title of the page, preferably in the immediate beginnning.
2. Use keyphrase frequently throughout the body, especially within <h1> and <h2> header tags.
3. Make sure the site is easily navigated by spiders by using text links to link between pages.
4. Get sites with high rankings for your keyphrases to link to your site with a text link.

A lot of seo has to do with figuring out the best keywords and keyphrase to focus on, which is different in any case. But basically, think of the words a person would use if they were looking for your page.
