I was wondering what people have been doing so far, once they have their sales letter done and published on their site.

How do you market the site?

Can anyone recommend some marketing strategies for a website that has a sales letter?

Hi Richard.

The easiest way to test your sales letter is to drive some
targeted paid traffic to it. And the easiest way to do it is
through Google AdWords (PPC).

Having such highly targeted traffic helps you know your
conversion rate and test various elements of your letter.

I'm not talking about building a full-fledged PPC campaign
here. I'm just talking about sending it enough traffic to
test how well it sells.

Once you know the sales letter is working, you can start
using any other promotional methods you want (which
normally take a lot more time and effort than PPC). smile.gif

Cheers!

Miguel has it right.

You want to test your letter out with PPC. Once you've got a good handle on how well it's converting, try to rank via SEO for the same terms that you bid on with PPC.

If you're on the first page (which can be done pretty quickly if the term isn't too competitive) you should be getting about the same amount of traffic.

You may also want to consider joining an affiliate site such as ClickBank.com once the sales letter has been tested. This way you'll have less selling to do. Affiliates will pick up your product and start selling it FOR you so you can just sit back and reap the profits!

But wait... what about back end sales? Since the affiliates will be making so much on the first product... have you considered upselling a second product!?

That's a whole other bag of bananas though.
