First of all, let me give you a warm welcome to the Copywriting.com Community Forum. This forum is for anyone interested in the marvelous craft of copywriting. It is a friendly place for finding help and helping others, a place to learn and discuss relevant topics and most importantly, a place to make friends and crucial business contacts.

To keep this community clean and shiny, there are a few rules and regulations you MUST follow:

1) No SPAM.
Starting topics, replying to topics and uploading content to the galleries or blogs with the express purpose of blatant advertising will not be tolerated. Any such postings will be immediately deleted by our moderators. The owners and moderators of this forum reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any threat for any reason, at their sole discretion and without challenge.

2) Your profile and signature.
Before you post on this forum, we ask that you upload a recent photo of yourself and to fill your profile. A nice avatar is ok, but a photo is preferred. Adding a photo gives your posts a human touch and generates a friendly environment. A signature file is also encouraged, but not required. The maximum allowed length of a signature is 5 lines. You may use *one* small graphic in your signature. Any posts with a signature that is visibly larger than the content itself will be immediately deleted.

3) Starting new topics.
This forum grows very rapidly. If you want to ask a question, chances are that someone else has already asked a similar one. Do a quick search before each question post you want to add. If the question that someone else asked is similar, but not the same, we encourage you to join that discussion and ask it there by replying to the existing topic.

Do not start any thread with an affiliate-related post, or a post with some kind of promotion. If you plan on starting a discussion about your product, service, business, or website, please post a little more relevant content than simply, "here's my new product, what do you think," followed by a URL. If your post is indeed a genuine attempt to get feedback on your product or website, please spend a few minutes to add more content. This same rule applies when requesting a copywriting critique...

4) Replying to existing topics.
If you reply to help another member, then you are welcome to post your comments and your product or affiliate link. But also mention that it is an affiliate link, and make doubly sure your post is relevant, on-topic, and specific to the original poster. Also, add a little more content than just, "check this out," or "this will help you," etc. Give your honest opinion, share your personal experience and explain why you are recommending such solution.

5) Stick to Netiquette.
If you are not sure what "Netiquette" is, please click here now and read the rules. Bullying, insulting and personally attacking another member is strictly forbidden and will get you banned. This goes for public posts AND for private messages (yes, if necessary, we can read them). Always keep in mind that free speech is not an absolute right on message boards; there are practical limitations. The rights and respect of others are more important. And in "others" I'm including not only the participants in a given thread but also readers, guests, and other board members.

6) Other important rules.
* "Trolling," "sidetracking," "hijacking," and "flooding" are prohibited.
* Be sensitive, tolerant and polite with others on the board.
* A message board is not a chat room. Don't clog the board with repetition, subjects that are not pertinent, long personal anecdotes, or short posts that most people would not care to read. Use private messaging or email for all of the above.
* If you are upset at something or someone, wait until you have had a chance to calm down and think about it. Never blow off steam in the forums.
* Remember that words alone, without context, vocal intonation, and history can easily be misconstrued and misunderstood. Know the people on this board before using slang, curse words, abbreviations and acronyms. And avoid messages without any backstory or explanation when those messages will be understood by a mere few.
* Try not to say anything to others that might be offensive. This includes references to race, politics, sex, or religion. Stick to the subject on the particular thread so as not to offend someone, even unintentionally.

7) Legal information about the forum.
* You warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, misleading, unethical, false, questionable, or otherwise violative of any laws.
* All messages express the views of the author and not the owners, administrators, or moderators of Copywriters Board, its parent company, or its subsidiaries.
* You agree that you were not made any promises, guarantees, or warranties of any kind, in any way, whether implied or not, regarding sales, income, traffic, or any other result. Your success depends on your efforts, situation, and willingness to succeed, which is personal and varies with each individual.
* The content of this discussion forum is provided strictly as information only -- members are required to use their own judgment or to seek the advice of a competent professional, if and where applicable.
* Email addresses are kept private within the confines of this discussion board and will not be rented or sold to anyone for any reason by the administrators -- however, we are not responsible for the misuse of email addresses by other posters, if they are made public by their authors.
