Very often there are website owners who are looking for a writer to "go to the site and clean up whatever needs to be cleaned up".

Does anyone know if there are any sites/companies (like Guru or eLance) that are aimed specifically at this type of work?

I thought I knew about every kind of work out there, but I hadn't heard of this type of project. I hope someone has more information on this because it sounds like something I would really enjoy. For some reason, I seem to enjoy cleaning up other peoples' copy more than my own smile.gif

Hmm, this is the first I've heard of this. Now you've got me interested though! I'll go searching on Google and see if I can find any links to such places. It sounds like a great job though- would be fun to help the website owner if they're too busy with other projects to clean up the site.

I've run into these on Guru, but I've also run into a couple "independently". (Hey - maybe someone needs to start a site aimed at this particular service. smile.gif)

Haha, if and when more people start making sites regarding website clean up, those people will find a worthy venture wink.gif And it would give copywriters another place to get hired.
